Accessibility Statement
Status of Compliance with Requirements
The accessibility requirements derive from the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), in particular from § 14 BFSG in conjunction with § 3 Para. 1, 2 BFSG, as well as the regulation to be issued according to the BFSG.
The specific technical measures largely comply with the EN 301 549 standard and are oriented towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 with conformity levels A and AA.
1) Introduction
We are pleased to welcome you to our website and thank you for your interest.
Below you will find information about the accessible usability of our online offering.
We inform you about:
- what offering and which functions you can expect on this website,
- how you can use this offering and the functions,
- which possibilities for barrier-free use are available to you, and
- which authority is responsible for monitoring accessibility on this website.
2) Offering and Functions of this Website
This website is an online shop for the sale of goods and digital content.
Goods in this context refer to physical objects.
Digital content, on the other hand, refers to data or datasets that are created and provided in digital form.
Products are presented here that can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then be bindingly ordered and paid for.
This website has a header and footer menu.
In the header menu, the products we sell are listed by categories and can be accessed individually from there.
Each product is described with additional information about its essential characteristics, scope of delivery, and total price on its own detail page. From there, it can be added to the electronic shopping cart.
Additionally, the electronic shopping cart can be accessed via the header menu once you have added at least one product to it. From this cart, the electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed.
In the footer menu, you will find links to our imprint with our contact information as well as information about the legal foundations of our online offering, delivery and payment options, and links to other helpful service pages.
3) Explanations for Using the Offering and Functions
3.1 Virtual Buttons
This website can be operated using virtual buttons.
3.2 Start, Overview, and Detail Pages
On the start page, you will find a selection of offered products in the central page area. By interacting with a product presentation, you will reach the product detail page.
In the header menu, you can navigate between the various product categories. After selecting a category, you will reach an overview page where all products of this category are displayed.
By interacting with a product presentation on the overview page, you will again reach the product detail page.
The product detail pages contain, in addition to all essential information about the product and total price, possibly a quantity selection element as well as a shopping cart button.
If available, the desired order quantity can be set via the quantity selection.
3.3 Electronic Shopping Cart
By pressing the shopping cart button, you add the product (possibly in the selected quantity) to the electronic shopping cart.
This electronic shopping cart can be accessed at any time via the header menu.
Here you can first review the added products. Using corresponding buttons, products can be removed again or, if applicable, changed in order quantity.
3.4 Electronic Ordering Process
After the review, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.
For this, you will first be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, email address, and delivery or billing address) via an input form.
Then, in a next step, you can choose between the available delivery or service options.
Finally, you can decide on one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment data, and complete the order.
The binding submission of the order only occurs when the button designated for this purpose on the final order page is pressed. It is labeled with "Buy", "Buy now", "Order with payment obligation" or another clear formulation.
Before pressing this order button, you can navigate back to previous steps at any time using the "Back" button of your browser and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.
If you have chosen to pay with an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider's system to make the payment there.
4) Legal Requirements for Accessibility
This website, as an online shop, belongs to the so-called "services in electronic commerce" and is characterized by electronic ordering and payment possibilities.
Special legal requirements for accessibility apply to it.
In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are oriented to the needs of people with disabilities and enable operability with digital assistive tools.
The online shop functions of this website must be designed to be:
- perceivable
- operable
- understandable, and
- robust
Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop are presented in such a way that they are easily perceivable for all users.
Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with limitations in mobility or cognition.
Understandability requires that the information and functions of the online shop are logically structured, easily recognizable, and unambiguously designated.
Robustness finally demands that the content and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restrictions, even when users employ digital assistive tools.
If products are for sale in the online shop that are subject to their own accessibility requirements, information about barrier-free use must be provided for such products - insofar as available.
5) Available Aids for Barrier-Free Use
This website fulfills the accessibility requirements through the following measures:
- Alt texts for images: Images in the online shop are equipped with alternative texts that provide a brief description of the illustration and can be processed by screen readers.
- Adjustable font size: The font size of page content can be adjusted through setting options to make it optimally perceivable for every user.
- Operability via mouse and keyboard: The online shop functions are operable both via mouse and keyboard. The mouse pointer can be moved and activated in the online shop using the keyboard control keys.
- Browser-independent page output: Content and functions of this website are available in identical arrangement, alignment, and resolution regardless of the browser used.
- Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): A programming language is used that separates the presentation of page content in layout, color, and design from their content structure. This makes it possible for digital assistive tools to use their own visibility schemes to display page content.
- Verified correctness of HTML codes: All HTML codes are permanently checked for their functionality to exclude functional failures and lack of detectability by digital assistive tools.
- Sufficient spacing between characters: Characters are displayed with sufficient spacing from each other to not impair readability.
- Compatibility with screen readers: The content of the online shop is compatible with all common screen readers and can be read and processed by them.
- Responsive design (adaptation to various screen sizes): The content, elements, and functions automatically adapt their dimensions to the size of the screen used.
- Scalability (visibility when enlarged): Page elements and content remain readable in high resolution even when enlarged.
- Strong color contrast: A strong contrast between colors of characters and backgrounds is preset to ensure optimal visibility of page elements.
